Gregor Townsend has reacted to Stuart Hogg's appearance in court, after the former Scotland captain pleaded guilty to domestic abuse.
Hogg, who won 100 caps for Scotland, pleaded guilty to a single charge when he appeared at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Monday.
Townsend, who also coached Hogg at Glasgow Warriors before becoming national team boss in 2017, was asked about Hogg's guilty plea as he looked ahead to Sunday's match against South Africa.
The Scotland head coach said: “I’m not going to comment on any specific cases especially one that’s still ongoing. But on behalf of Scottish Rugby, we condemn any abuse, whether that’s domestic, online or social.
“That’s something we feel strongly about.”
