Scotland centre Cameron Redpath will make his first appearance of the season for Bath as they face Bristol Bears tomorrow.
The centre underwent surgery on a long-standing shoulder injury over the summer but has been named on the bench by Johann van Graan.
Redpath could link up with Scotland team-mate Finn Russell in the Bath midfield, with Scotland's co-captain selected at fly-half by van Graan.
Redpath's return comes as a timely boost to Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend, with fellow international midfielders Matt Currie, Mark Bennett and Stafford McDowall all currently sidelined.
The 24-year-old, who was instrumental in Bath's run to the Premiership final last season, will now hope to catch Townsend's eye ahead of the Autumn Nations Series and add to his 14 international caps.
