Edinburgh Rugby will welcome Glasgow Warriors to Hive Stadium on Friday night for an inter-city 'A' team fixture.

The match forms part of the new male performance pathway, introduced as a result of the scrapping of Super Series this summer.

Edinburgh have three senior squad members in their squad. They are lock Rob Carmichael, fly-half Cammy Scott and back-row Connor Boyle, who will captain the side from number eight.

Their squad also comprises 14 members of the club's expanded academy, while there are two Arnold Clark Men’s Premiership representatives in the starting line-up - Kelso wing Archie Barbour and Heriot's back-row Pat Spence.

Barbour's Kelso colleague Angus McGregor, Musselburgh's Dylan Jakeman, St Andrews University's Jamie Thomson and former Exeter University student Archie Owlett, who is listed as unattached, are both also included on the hosts' bench.

Glasgow, meanwhile, include summer signing Fin Richardson at tighthead, while lock Jare Oguntijebu and back-row pair Macenzzie Duncan and Jack Mann were involved with Franco Smith's senior squad in pre-season.

Several of the Scotland squad that won the World Rugby U20 Trophy in the summer are included in both squads.
