Adam Hastings has bravely opened up on an emotional few weeks after the devastating loss of his aunt Jenny.
The rugby community was in mourning this month after the news emerged of the tragic death of Jenny, wife of legendary Scottish international Scott Hastings.
After making his competitive return for Glasgow on Saturday night against Ulster, Adam - son of former Scotland captain Gavin - attended a memorial service for his aunt in Edinburgh on Sunday.
“It was amazing,” Hastings said. “It was like a celebration of life as opposed to a funeral, then into a wake. It was brilliant. There were loads of the rugby community there and it was awesome. It was a really nice day.”

Hastings replaced Stafford McDowall for the final twenty minutes as Glasgow fell to an agonising late defeat in Ulster as they began their URC title defence.
The Scotland international decided to return closer to home after leaving Gloucester this summer and he praised Warriors head coach Franco Smith for his support, amongst many others, during such a difficult period in his private life.
Hastings added: “Loads of people have reached out and I’ve really felt the love in here as well. The boys have been brilliant with me, especially Franco.
"He allowed me to fly out to Belfast late and then fly back in the morning, absolutely no problems with anything. The club has been really good with me.
“When you’re out on the pitch, that’s all you’re thinking about and it gives you something else to focus on I suppose, rather than ruminating over what’s happened.
"I’m lucky we have a massive family. Everyone came from all over…my uncle from Australia, my sister came back from Barcelona just to be here with the family. My other cousin came back from San Francisco. There were plenty of people around just to be there for each other, so it was really nice.”
