Scotland could be set for a rematch against Chile on home soil later this year.
Gregor Townsend’s team prevailed 52-11 when the two sides met in Santiago on Saturday, their first meeting in a fully capped international.
It came two years after the first-ever meeting between the two countries, as a Scotland ‘A’ side won 45-5 in the Chilean capital.
And Scotland Rugby News understands discussions are ongoing between Scottish Rugby and the Chilean Rugby Federation about the two sides meeting again later this year.

If it gets the go-ahead, we understand the fixture would not be a full cap international and would be another ‘A’ match.
Townsend’s team are already set for a four-match autumn programme.
Scotland kick off their Autumn Nations Series against Fiji at Scottish Gas Murrayfield on November 2 before facing back-to-back world champions South Africa eight days later in front of a sell-out crowd.
Portugal then visit Edinburgh on November 16 before Townsend’s team once again face Australia on November 24.
If the prospective Chile fixture does get the go-ahead, it is likely Scotland will be without their exiles for the match – as they will be in Uruguay this weekend.

World Rugby’s window for players to be released only covers three weekends in November, meaning the exiles will not be available to face Fiji in the series opener.
