A try from Blair Kinghorn helped Toulouse complete a domestic and European double in his first season with Toulouse as they thrashed Bordeaux Begles 59-3 in the Top 14 final.

France captain Antoine Dupont scored twice as Toulouse were crowned champions for a record-extending 23rd time.

Hookers Peato Mauvaka and Julian Marchand also crossed as Toulouse ran riot.

Fullback Thomas Ramos contributed 20 points through a brace of tries - including a late effort that rounded off a half-break by Kinghorn - two conversions and two penalties.

The Scotland international rounded off an interception to score Toulouse's sixth try with 10 minutes to go before adding the conversion from in front of the posts.

American prop David Ainu’u scored their eighth try as Toulouse motored through the half-century to set a record win in a Top 14 final.

They scored a ninth in injury time as Italy's Ange Capuozzo rounded off a move that started on the Toulouse try-line to rub salt into the wounds of Bordeaux Begles.

It marked a happy return for Kinghorn to Marseille's Stade Velodrome, where his season began with Rugby World Cup defeat to South Africa more than nine months ago.

Having already won the Investec Champions Cup, Kinghorn can add a Top 14 winners medal to his collection a little over six months after he arrived at Toulouse from Edinburgh.
