Former Scotland hooker Stevie Scott has signed a new deal to remain at Bath next season.

Scott, a former Edinburgh Rugby head coach, will continue in his role as scrum coach after helping Bath to the Premiership final in the 2023/24 season.

The former Scotland international joined Bath at the beginning of last season following previous coaching jobs including at Sale Sharks and Utah Warriors.

Scott said: "I've really enjoyed my first season at Bath and I'm delighted to extend my contract.

"It was an easy decision for me. Bath is a great club with good people – both players and staff led excellently by Johann [van Graan, head of rugby] - and we have fantastic fans, The Rec is a special place!

"I’m looking forward to seeing what we can deliver next season."

Former Munster boss van Graan - who has Scotland trio Finn Russell, Cam Redpath and Josh Bayliss among his Bath squad - was delighted to have secured Scott's signature for next season.

The South African said: “Stevie has done an excellent job in his first season as scrum coach, improving our scrum and our players. I am excited about the future of our scrum.”

Meanwhile, Bath have also announced former player Jon Callard will leave his role as kicking coach after one season with the club.

Van Graan said: “JC has been an incredible club man for Bath both as a player and a coach. It was great to have him as part of our journey and we wish him the very best.”
