Details have been confirmed for Scotland under-20s pool matches and finals day of the World Rugby U20 Trophy, to be held in Edinburgh in July.
After Samoa U20 beat Tonga U20 to become the sixth team to qualify for the tournament, it has been confirmed that Scotland U20 will face Japan, Hong Kong China and Samoa in Pool A.
Netherlands U20 and Uruguay U20 have been named in Pool B, with a team from Africa and the Americas still to qualify.
Scotland must win the tournament to regain their spot in the top competition, the World Rugby U20 Championship, having been relegated in 2019 following a thumping 59-34 defeat to Fiji.
The Covid-19 pandemic meant the tournament was cancelled between 2020 and 2022, and Scotland failed to bounce back to the top flight at the first attempt last year - and did not even make the final - after losing to Uruguay.

Kenny Murray's side will go into the tournament off the back of a Six Nations whitewash, their third in four years. Their only win in the last four U20 Six Nations was a single-point success over Wales last year.
