This Warriors team eh?!?! What a side, what a coach, what a joy to watch! They fight, and fight and fight. They give absolutely everything for 80 minutes and they don’t give up.
Glasgow put in a sterling 80-minute performance to take five points from the Stormers.

Talking points from Edinburgh and Glasgow's first block of URC fixtures
To take seven points from 10 in South Africa is nothing short of superb and is the kind of result that, come the end of the season, can be the difference between a home tie and a more favourable draw.
Not only that, but it’s the kind of result that really spurs on a season and can build massive momentum.
And it’s the manner in which they win that is the most pleasing thing. They are top of almost every attacking stat, points scored, tries, defenders beaten, metres made and clean breaks and it’s a an absolute joy to watch. Thrilling stuff that gets you off your seat each time the boys get the ball. And in defence, while there is some room for improvement, they are still 3rd overall across the whole league.
That’s not to be sniffed at. Franco has built an almost perfect group of players. A mix of skill and strength, power and aggression and youth and experience.
Johnny Matthews once again showed why he should be in the Scotland squad and it seems everyone can see it bar the man who picks the squad. I’m really not sure what more Johnny has to do but hey, that’s a column for another week… and last week and every week until he’s in the Scotland squad.
This was not a poor Stormers team. It had a few World Cup winners in it, but it still couldn’t handle the Warriors.
Take the beautiful kick that led to Sione’s try or the finish from Kyle Rowe, a player who just keeps improving by the way. Jack Dempsey is another who has come back into the side and just gone to the next level.
I’d imagine wrestling a saltwater croc would be easier than bringing down the big fella. He generates so much power in those legs that’s he ensures a metre gain every time.
But now we have international duty on our minds and while it’s always exciting to welcome the Southern Hemisphere to town, from a strictly club point of view, it means watching from behind the couch and praying to every divine entity that Glasgow players get through each game intact and without injury. Especially with the Warriors supplying the bulk of the squad.
Scotland should be looking to get at least three wins. They should be dispatching of Fiji and Portugal with relative ease (just my opinion) and should be looking for victory against an Australian side that is not one of their strongest.
Enjoy the Autumn Tests and we’ll reconvene and reassess where we are before the Scarlets come to Scotstoun at the end of the November.
