Seven Scotland internationals return for Glasgow Warriors as they resume United Rugby Championship action with the visit of Scarlets to Scotstoun.

George Horne, Adam Hastings, Tom Jordan, Kyle Rowe and captain Stafford McDowall all return behind the scrum for the defending champions.

Up front, Alex Samuel, who made his international debut in the win over Portugal, also returns, as does Johnny Matthews, who won his second cap in the same game.

There are three debutants in the Warriors squad, with prop Fin Richardson and lock Jare Oguntibeju both handed starts having impressed for Scotland 'A' in the win over Chile last weekend. And Macenzzie Duncan is set for his debut from the bench.

Number eight Jack Mann, who has been plagued by injuries, will pull on a Glasgow jersey for the first time in nearly two years.

Warriors boss Smith said: “We’re pleased to be back at home tomorrow night, as we look to hit the ground running in the second block of our season.

“The Scarlets have been in good form this season, and their mix of dynamic forwards and exciting backs can cause problems from anywhere on the field.

“We’re also pleased to include Fin, Jare and Macenzzie in our matchday squad for the first time. All three have worked hard to earn their opportunity, and we look forward to seeing them in action tomorrow night.”

Scarlets, meanwhile, have named Scotland international prop Alec Hepburn in their starting XV.

Hepburn, who won his first caps during the Six Nations, was a late call-up into Gregor Townsend's Autumn Nations Series squad, but did not feature during the campaign.

Another Scotland cap Alex Craig, who has been heavily linked with a move to Scotstoun, is named on the bench.

Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel said: “Glasgow are a team who play with high energy, high speed and it is a case of ‘expect the unexpected’ with them.

"It is going to be a big challenge for us, but one we are excited about, to go and see where we are at, going up against the champions on a fast track. We have spoken about using the opportunity and using the energy and having a go at them"
