Scotland are preparing for a tour of the Pacific islands next summer, head coach Gregor Townsend has revealed.
The tour is likely to be a two-test series, but Townsend hopes to add further fixtures, including one potentially in New Zealand.
"The summer tour that we are organising is to go to the South Seas," the Scotland coach said after Sunday's win over Australia.
He added: "Fiji, we believe, is definitely one of the games. And we're trying to add another game as well, whether that's in New Zealand or in the Islands."
Scotland's summer tour this year was originally due to be a two-test series against Canada and America before games against Chile and Uruguay were added on.
That allowed Townsend a look at some young players, and he hopes to be able to do something similar next July.
"It's meant to be two tests, but we are looking at whether we can play a third or even a fourth game, just to build on what we did last summer, giving more players a chance to play, which we thought was a real success, playing those four games last summer."
If Scotland do manage to add a game in New Zealand - where they have not toured since 2000 - Townsend confirmed it would not be a test against the All Blacks.
Meanwhile, the Scotland coach again distanced himself from a role with the British and Irish Lions on the tour to Australia.
Townsend was an assistant to Warren Gatland in South Africa three years ago, but kept his cards close to his chest when asked if he would be keen to reprise a similar role under Ireland boss Andy Farrell.
He added: "We'll see. The focus is on Six Nations and Scotland."
