Scott Cummings will face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday after being sent off in Scotland's defeat to South Africa on Sunday.
The lock was shown a yellow card in the 11th minute after Television Match Official (TMO) Ian Tempest referred Cummings' clear-out at a ruck to referee Christophe Ridley.
The sanction was later upgraded to a 20-minute red card, the first shown to a Scotland player, by Foul Play Review Official (FPRO) Tual Trainini.
