Matt Scott will make his 100th appearance for an Edinurgh side missing several Scotland internationals against Ospreys in Bridgend on Saturday.

Scott, who made his Edinburgh debut in 2011, will become the club's 43rd centurion in his third stint at the club.

He starts alongside Matt Currie in the midfield, but there is no place for Darcy Graham, who is one of four players rested ahead of the Autumn Nations Series.

The others are captain Grant Gilchrist, scrum-half Ali Price and prop Pierre Schoeman.

However, Scotland cap Harry Paterson will make his first United Rugby Championship appearance of the season as he lines up at fulback, with Wes Goosen shifting to the wing alongside Duhan van der Merwe.

In the front row, Boan Venter and D’Arcy Rae are retained at prop, with Ewan Ashman returning at hooker in place of Paddy Harrison.

Jamie Hodgson is the replacement for Gilchrist in the second row, and he'll pack down next to Marshall Sykes, while Jamie Ritchie and Hamish Watson bring a wealth of experience to the back-row, which is completed by a positional switch for Ben Muncaster, who will pack down this week at number eight.

In the replacements, Dave Cherry, Angus Williams and Glen Young all make their returns from injury, while scrum-half Charlie Shiel is in line for his first minutes of the campaign.

On the match, head coach Sean Everitt added: “We know it will be a tough match this weekend, the Ospreys are good at home and will come after us, so we know what to expect.

“I’m very happy for Matt and his achievement. He’s a proud Edinburgh man, and embodies everything we want to see in this team, bringing physicality and determination every time he takes to the field.”
