Sebastian Cancelliere will make his return from injury for Glasgow Warriors against the Sharks in Durban tomorrow, as Franco Smith makes eight changes from the win over Zebre last weekend.

Up front, Scotland trio Nathan McBeth, Scott Cummings and Matt Fagerson all return, as does hooker Gregor Hiddleston.

Behind the scrum, Cancelliere is back for the first time since the round one defeat to Ulster having overcome a foot injury and replaces fellow countryman Facundo Cordero on the wing.

Sione Tuipulotu also returns and assumes the captaincy as he partners Stafford McDowall in midfield.

Tom Jordan takes over at fly-half from Adam Hastings, who is named on the bench.

There is no place in the matchday 23 for Richie Gray, who will leave the club for Toyota Verblitz next month.

Head coach Smith said: “To play a Sharks side containing 12 Springboks coming off a Rugby Championship win is a daunting task and one that will be a big opportunity for us to measure ourselves against.

“The levels of experience in the Sharks squad are near-unmatched in the URC and is a hallmark of the quality they have available.”
