Stafford McDowall returns from injury to lead a Glasgow Warriors side showing seven changes from the win over Cardiff as they return to Scotstoun on Friday night, with Zebre the visitors.
The centre is one of six Scotland internationals to return to the starting line-up, along with Jamie Bhatti, Zander Fagerson, Rory Darge, George Horne and Adam Hastings.
The latter three have all recovered after picking up head injuries in the win over Benetton in the Warriors last run-out at Scotstoun.
Horne's introduction means Jamie Dobie shifts to the wing, while Kyle Rowe moves to fullback as Josh McKay is given the weekend off.
Bhatti and Fagerson pack down either side of Johnny Matthews, while Gregor Brown shifts to the second row and will partner Scott Cummings to complete an all-international front-five.
Euan Ferrie, a try-scorer in the Benetton win, is in on the blindside and partners Darge on the flank, while Jack Dempsey will anchor the scrum at number eight.
Horne and Hastings form the half-back pairing this week, with McDowall and Huw Jones partnered in the centres.
Scotland cap Grant Stewart could make his first appearance of the season if called upon from the bench, where he's joined by Nathan McBeth and Patrick Schickerling, who made his Glasgow debut in Cardiff.
Alex Samuel and Max Williamson, the men who will have to fill the void vacated by Richie Gray's impending departure, are both among the replacements, with Henco Venter completing the forwards held in reserve.
Ben Afshar and Tom Jordan - who has been backed for a Scotland call-up by his coach and captain in recent weeks when he qualifies during the Autumn Nations Series - complete Smith's matchday squad.
