Edinburgh hooker Harri Morris has flown to South Africa ahead of their United Rugby Championship (URC) clash with the Lions in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Morris was a try-scorer in the 'A' team win over Glasgow Warriors on Friday night, and joins the senior squad after Dave Cherry limped out of Saturday's defeat to the Bulls.
After the match, head coach Sean Everitt said Cherry was in "a lot of pain" after injuring his ankle inside the opening 10 minutes of the match at Loftus Versfeld.

Everitt is still able to call upon Scotland duo Ewan Ashman and Patrick Harrison, while Morris will likely provide further cover for this week's match.
Edinburgh confirmed his arrival in South Africa in a social media post on Tuesday morning.

If he does make it into the matchday squad for the game at Emirates Airline Park, the 22-year-old would be in line for a first Edinburgh appearance since making the move from the back-row to hooker.
Morris made his Edinburgh debut in the back-row in the Rainbow Cup clash with Ulster in June 2021, but has yet to feature for the first team since his positional switch.
He spent last season at Doncaster Knights in the second tier of English rugby.
