Scotland head coach Kenny Murray has made one change to his side for the World Rugby U20 Trophy final against USA at Hive Stadium on Wednesday.

The introduction of Ruaraidh Hart in the second row for Ryan Burke, who was injured in the win over Japan, is the only alteration to the starting XV.

Ollie Duncan joins the bench in an otherwise unchanged squad for the promotion decider against the USA.

Scotland booked their place in the final with triple-figure pool wins over Samoa and Hong Kong China before a 46-10 triumph in the pool decider against Japan last Friday.

USA, meanwhile, beat Netherlands, Uruguay and Kenya to secure top spot in Pool B.

While he has been impressed with his side's performances so far, Scotland head coach Murray knows there is one more hurdle to overcome before they can celebrate promotion to the top-tier World Rugby U20 Championship.

He said: “We have put in some impressive performances over the competition, but we can’t take our foot off the gas now.

“USA are a powerful force and have proven that in their three pool matches. They are fast and physical and will be as hungry for success as we are."

His settled side sees Robbie Deans join brothers Jerry and Ollie Blyth-Lafferty in the front row, while Hart packs down beside Euan McVie at lock.

Liam McConnell captains the side from the blindside flank. Freddy Douglas is on the openside and Tom Currie completes the breakaway trio.

In the three-quarters, Conor McAlpine is again at scrum-half and Andrew McLean - who contributed 21 points in the win over Japan - again takes the number 10 jersey.

Findlay Thomson and Johnny Ventisei are in the midfield while the back three again comprises prolific try-scoring trio Geordie Gwynn, Finlay Doyle and Fergus Watson.

Head coach Murray has urged his side to put in a performance they can be proud of.

He added: “For many of the team, this will be the last time they play in the Scotland U20 jersey, so we want to put in a performance that our family, friends and Scotland can be proud of.”
