The officials for Saturday's United Rugby Championship (URC) Grand Final between Glasgow Warriors and the Bulls in Pretoria have been announced.
Italian Andrea Piardi, the man who took charge of the Warriors' semi-final win over Munster, will again have the whistle at Loftus Versfeld.
Piardi showed yellow cards to Warriors pair Richie Gray and Matt Fagerson in the first half of the win at Thomond Park. He then sent off Munster's Alex Nankivell late on.
In total, the Warriors have played six matches with the Italian in the middle, winning four of those, but coming out on the wrong side of the penalty count.
It will be the second year in a row the 31-year-old will take charge of the league's showpiece event after becoming the first Italian match official to referee a BKT United Rugby Championship Grand Final when Munster beat the Stormers 12 months ago.
Piardi has been a familiar face in the BKT URC play-offs in the past three seasons, and this marks his sixth appointment for a knock-out game in that time.
Saturday’s Grand Final at Loftus Versfeld will be the Italian’s 45th league appearance.
He will be assisted by Ireland's Frank Murphy and Craig Evans, of Wales, while there will be an Italian television match official (TMO), Matteo Liperini.
The URC said that due to a policy of neutrality, no South African or Scottish referees were considered to officiate the final.
