experGregor Townsend has named a 37-man squad including 10 uncapped players for Scotland's summer tour to the Americas.

Glasgow prop Nathan McBeth, Patrick Harrison, Robbie Smith, Will Hurd, Max Williamson, Ewan Johnson, Gregor Brown, Gus Warr, Arron Reed and Matt Currie are the uncapped players on tour.

However, there is no place for Glasgow Warriors hooker Johnny Matthews,  while experienced campaigners George Turner, Zander Fagerson, Richie Gray, Grant Gilchrist, Ben White, Finn Russell and Blair Kinghorn are all absent.

Loosehead prop McBeth, back-five forward Brown and second row Williamson, all from Glasgow Warriors, have trained with the Scotland squad in recent times along with Sale winger Reed, who was in this year's Guinness Six Nations squad.

Townsend has also selected Reed's Sale Sharks colleague Gus Warr, who also qualifies for England.

Harrison, who has found game time hard to come by with Edinburgh, is included  alongside Northampton Saints hooker Robbie Smith, the former Scotland under-20 captain.

Oyonnax second row Ewan Johnson, another former age-grade cap, has been selected for the first time.

Leicester Tigers tighthead prop Will Hurd, who  was included in the 2024 Guinness Six Nations squad but was ruled out through injury, has earned another call-up.

Edinburgh centre Matt Currie earns his place after a standout season, and will hope to win his first cap having played for Scotland 'A' against Chile two years ago.

Dylan Richardson made his Scotland debut back in 2021 against Japan as a back-rower, but is included in this squad as a hooker.

During the second half of the tour, in South America, Glasgow-bound prop Fin Richardson, Warriors scrum-half Ben Afshar and Edinburgh lock Rob Carmichael will link up with the squad as 'development players'
