George Turner's said the opportunity of a move to Japan was too good to turn down, as his switch to Kobe Steelers was confirmed.
Earlier this year, we reported Turner was considering his future at Glasgow Warriors amid an offer from Japan.
Earlier this month, the Warriors revealed he would be leaving, and the Japanese club confirmed Turner's arrival on Tuesday morning.
It means Turner, who made his 100th appearance for Glasgow in the URC quarter-final win over the Stormers last weekend, will again link up with ex-Glasgow boss Dave Rennie, the Kobe Steelers head coach.
Former Scotland assistant coach Mike Blair is one of Rennie's assistants at the Japanese club.
Turner, 31, said: "I am really looking forward to playing for the Kobe Steelers. I couldn't miss this amazing opportunity to live and play in Japan. I have always wanted to play in Japan since the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
"The Kobe Steelers are a great team and I want to contribute to their success.
"This is a great adventure not only for me but also for my family, who I'm sure will gain a lot from this experience.
"Rugby in Japan is very exciting and I'm looking forward to the challenge!"

Last week, Glasgow head coach Franco Smith said he felt the move could be a good thing for Scottish Rugby.
“I would put a positive spin on it," the South African said.
"I know he’s going to go for a year, and we’ll see . . . you never know [if] he comes back in a year or two.
"It’s going to be important for Scotland as well. But in the meantime, if I was Gregor [Townsend for example, I would see this as an opportunity to see some other guys putting their hands up for responsibility even beyond 2027.”
