George Turner has been confirmed as one of six players to leave Glasgow Warriors at the end of the season.

The Scotland hooker has been expected to be on the list with a move to Japan on the cards and he’s joined on the leavers list by Oli Kebble, Thomas Gordon, Enrique Pieretto, Lucio Sordoni and Sintu Manjezi.

Fraser Brown’s retirement had already been confirmed while Ali Price and Ross Thompson’s moves to Edinburgh have also been announced.

Kebble is the player with the most appearances who will leave with the loosehead after playing more than 100 times for Warriors, hitting that milestone in the win over Sharks at Scotstoun in April.

The 31-year-old moved to Scotstoun from Stormers in 2017 and was then capped by Scotland in 2020, going on to make 11 appearances and scoring one try.

Turner also moves on after seven years at the club and has 99 appearances so far. He’ll be hoping to add at least one more before the end of the campaign but has been injured since the Six Nations.

During his time at Warriors he’s picked up 45 caps for Scotland but he’s expected to be reunited with former Glasgow coach Dave Rennie at Kobe Steelers in Japan.

New Zealand born Gordon will also leave Scotstoun after 75 appearances for Warriors since making his debut in 2019.

He had originally moved to Scotland to be part of the Scottish rugby academy and had a contract with Edinburgh before moving to Glasgow.

His best moment in a Glasgow shirt came when he scored two tries in a win over Edinburgh at Scotstoun.

Argentinian tighthead pair Sordoni and Pieretto also depart at the end of the season, with the latter currently out on loan at Waratahs in Super Rugby.

Manjezi is the final of the six players to leave the club having joined from the Bulls in 2022, and previously played under Franco Smith at the Cheetahs and has gone on to make 23 appearances in total for Warriors.
