Glasgow Warriors have confirmed their URC quarter-final will take place at Scotstoun Stadium with a 7.35pm kick-off on Saturday, June 8.

It remains to be seen who Franco Smith’s side will face with them currently sitting fourth in the table. At present, it means they would take on Stormers at home but there still remains a possibility that they could end up facing Edinburgh in an all Scottish battle.

Scotland Rugby News did report last month that a quarter final was most likely to remain at Scotstoun and it would be impossible to move it Scottish Gas Murrayfield, despite suggestions it could happen.

Taylor Swift is playing at the stadium that entire weekend so Glasgow have moved to confirm that everything is in place for the game to happen at their home ground.

The final positions have still to be confirmed but Glasgow do have a top four spot in the bag ahead of their final regular season match of the season next week against Zebre.

Glasgow need results to go their way to finish in the top two which would also guarantee a home semi-final while a final in Scotland now looks a long way off the cards.

While the top four is guaranteed, the remaining positions in the play-offs aren’t with four clubs likely to be battling it out for the final two spaces.

Stormers and Ulster are all but guaranteed their place while Edinburgh and Benetton will go head to head in Italy on the final match day. Lions, Connacht and Ospreys are the other teams who still have the chance to reach the top eight.
