JOSEPH Dorothy Jean Died 30th September 2023, aged 92 years. Mother of Valerie, Shirley and the late Brian; much loved Grandmother and Great Grandmother. The funeral will take place at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Eardisley, on Friday 13th October at 11 am. Family flowers only please. Donations are invited for M.S. Society and Cancer Research UK. Funeral arrangements by Oak Tree Funeral Services; tel. 01544 327829

Dorothy was one of the first people we met when we moved to Eardisley thirty years ago and learned that she had lived, with her family, in the cottage we had just bought. Her gentle kindness towards us never wavered and we soon became firm friends. We will miss you Dorothy and always treasure the memories of Eardisley, and this cottage, that you shared with. Rest in peace, dear friend. Jen and Ray from the Nook.

Dear Dorothy. We first met when I knocked on your door in 1985 and told you that I was born in that house. We remained friends for the last 38 years through cards, letters and phone calls. I was lucky enough to introduce my son and daughter to you at different times when visiting from Australia.
We love you and will miss you. May you rest in peace until we meet again.
