HILL David James Of Kington Passed away peacefully at St Michael's Hospice on Friday 18th August 2023 aged 91 Years. Devoted Husband of his late dear Wife Hazel and much-Loved Dad to Sarah. Loved and respected by many in his local community and beyond. He will be greatly missed. Funeral Service to be held at St Mary's Church, Kington on Thursday 7th September 2023 at 12 Noon. Dark dress not required. Family flowers Only. Donations, if desired, St Michael's Hospice and The Friends of Kington and District Care In the Community. Mr Hill was my first boss when I joined Midland Bank in Kington in September 1972.
I regarded him as a "fatherly" figure who took a great deal of interest in my development and welfare as I was away from home for the first time.
I was delighted to meet up with him after nearly 50 years at a funeral in Kington, a few years back, and we had a lengthy chat. I thought that he looked remarkably well for his advanced age.
My sincere condolences to family and friends.
