Franco Smith admitted Glasgow produced a "workmanlike" performance in their 33-3 win over Zebre at Scotstoun.

But the Warriors boss was pleased with the display given he made seven chances from last weekend's win over Cardiff.

The Warriors boss said: "It was also good to see the guys coming in, seven changes, taking on the baton, and adapting to what we've seen last week.

"If you keep changing the team like that, you can expect that there will be one or two errors, but at least we're creating a lot of opportunities.

"There was a lot to work on still, but it was workmanlike, I agree."

Smith also admitted he didn't want to single out individuals, he did concede Huw Jones was a deserved recipient of the man of the match award.

"I don't like to single out people," the Warriors coach said.

"I think everybody played really well but Huw scored two beautiful tries. He applied himself very well on both sides of the ball. So he was a well-deserved winner of Man of the Match."

"We love his versatility - the fact that he can play lock, and he can play in all three positions in the back row, that’s important for us.

"We’d rather not take chances. It was more precautionary than it was for an injury."
