Scotland eased to a comfortable win against Fiji at Murrayfield, with their wingers taking the lead as the dark blues notched eight tries – and had another three chalked off by the TMO.
Here is a round-up of some of the best stats from the first week of the Autumn Nations Series.
- Scotland won their fifth consecutive Test match – just the third time they have managed such a streak since the 1990 Grand Slam.
- This was the 22nd time in the 153-year history of the Scotland Men’s team that they have scored eight or more tries. Exactly half of those occasions have come in the last eight years.
- Adam Hastings’ 17-point haul was the most for a Scottish kicker at Murrayfield since Greig Laidlaw booted 22 against France during the 2018 Six Nations.
- The fly-half's tally against Fiji included his first penalty for the national side since October 2020.

Try 5: Darcy Graham
Graham’s 27th try for Scotland saw him join Ian Smith as the only players in history to score three hat-tricks for Scotland.
He and Smith are also the only players to score four tries on two occasions for the the national team.

Gregor Townsend is the only coach of Scotland whose sides have scored 300 tries – the total stood at 306 in 84 games at the end of the match versus Fiji.
The next highest tally is 178 tries in 78 Tests across two different spells for Sir Ian McGeechan.
The scoring rate of 3.64 tries per game under Townsend is the most for any Scotland coach, with the closest being 2.65 per game under Derrick Grant between 1985 and 1988.
The average number of tries scored per match during the rest of the professional era was 1.98. During the amateur era it was 1.61.
