WITHNELL Roger Spencer Funeral services were held on 6th August at St Mary's Church, Brilley For Roger Spencer Withnell Who passed away on 9th July at his daughter's home in Farnham Interment was made at Offa's Orchard with Reverend Katie Smith conducting funeral services Roger had been battling pancreatic cancer; however, his mantra was that life should be enjoyed and he managed, in the 82 years that he lived, to achieve that one hundred percent. Born in Wales on June 10th, 1942, he lived with his family in Shotton, Flintshire, until they moved, When he was 12, to Waltham Abbey in Essex. Aged 10 he was a chorister at Chester Cathedral and it was while he was there, he developed a love of classical music which became the mainstay for the rest of his life. He was an accomplished pianist, an expert IT engineer and an organic farmer in Brilley, Herefordshire which he thought was the most beautiful, unspoilt county in England. He was married to Meriel Brooke Withnell in 1982, his wife passing away in 2021. He is survived by two children, two stepchildren and eight grandchildren. For Further Information Please Contact A.W.
