MINTON Michael Of Kimbolton Sadly passed away at home on Tuesday 2nd April 2024, aged 94 years. Loving husband of the late Janet and father of Jane. Funeral Service will take place at Hereford Crematorium at 3.15pm on Monday 22nd April 2024. No flowers by request, but donations if desired to The Royal Countryside Fund. Michael Minton gave me my first chance in farm management 40 years ago when I probably didn't have much to offer and I learned a huge amount. He was a hard taskmaster and we often disagreed, sometimes he must have found me very frustrating. I will always be grateful for that discipline of being prepared for the unexpected and having a plan B and C (and sometimes a D).
Under all that he was a very human and caring person who did the right thing and did not like injustice. I will be forever grateful to have known him, even though his move back to his beloved Herefordshire meant we have seen less of each other in recent years.
