HALLOWELL-CHASE Winifred June MBE 1932 - 2023 Passed away peacefully at home on 12th May Devoted wife to the late Leonard, Loving Mother, Granny and Great Granny. Retired Art Teacher (Lady Hawkins and Whitecross) Funeral Service at St Lawrence Church, Canon Pyon on Friday 2nd June at 2pm In memory of June the dress code if you wish is a "touch of purple". Miss Chase, as I knew her, was a major inspiration to me. She taught me art at Whitecross High School and helped me gain a real appreciation for and some skills in art and design. I went onto study landscape architecture at an undergraduate and post-graduate level before becoming a Member, now a Fellow of the Landscape Institute. A wonderful lady who was wise, supportive and helpful to her many students. May she forever rest in peace.

I was so upset to hear about June, what a wonderful lady she was and her influence lead me to qualify as an architect from lady Hawkins school Kington at the end of the 1960 s She had a great gift to inspire people, She will always have a soft spot in my heart. Eric price
