SMITH Edward John Read Passed away peacefully aged 85 on January 16th 2023 at St Michael's Hospice Hereford. He will be greatly missed by his much loved wife Patricia, sons John and Corden, grandchildren and all his family and friends. The funeral service will take place at Hereford Crematorium on Thursday, February 16th at 3.15pm. Family flowers only please, donations if so desired will be gratefully received for St. Michael's Hospice.Tributes

My parents bought a property in the late 60s and at the other end of the street Edward operated his antiques business. It felt like there was a constant flow of Ford Transit vans and antique dealers waiting for Edward to open. He had a unique ability to buy whatever was offered to him rather than picking what he wanted. He inspired lots of people to work for themselves and on a personal level have a lot to be thankful to him for. He had the ability to communicate with people on all social levels.
