DANCE Sylvia Mary Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday 25th November 2021 aged 93 years. Much loved Widow of Derry Dance. Adored Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. The funeral service will be held on Thursday 30th December 2021 at St. Michaels Church, Garway at 12 Noon. Family flowers only. Donations to St Michael's Church, Garway.

So sorry to read the sad news about Sylvia Dance. My late mother, Dorothy Adams, and Sylvia were very good friends during our time living in Garway during the 1950s. I remember them sharing organ duties at St Michael's Church in the days before electricity arrived in the village and it had to be hand pumped. We always received a Christmas card and newsy letter from Sylvia except for this year. Something told me to check the Hereford Times and there was the news that she had passed away peacefully. She was a lovely person to know and I'm glad I kept in touch with her albeit at Christmas time. God bless her.
