ROBERT SIMPSON Robert Simpson H.A.P. Died after a full life and short illness on the 8th December aged 72. Greatly missed by his partner Liz, his sons Jake and Rupert and his grandchildren Rosie, Fiona, George and Oliver. Fruit Farmer and founder of Chicory Crops LTD in 1971. Keen Aviator, old car enthusiast, long standing member of VCC and VSCC. Practical supporter of Dymock CC and Newent RFC. An extraordinary man.

So very sad to hear this news. During my all too short eight years in the fruit industry Rob was one of the giants. He was an innovator, pioneer and expert in his field who knew how to produce superb quality fruit and was second to none. Above all else he was a pure and utter gentleman, wonderful company, whitty, compassionate and had an ability to converse on any level. I frequently think of him and know he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with Jake and Rupert. Love Richard, Jacky and Alf.
