FREDERICK JAMES RUTHERFORD (RICK) Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020, aged 84 years. He will be greatly missed by his Wife Pat, Family and Friends. Funeral Service will take place at 11.15 a.m., on Monday, October 19th, 2020, at Hereford Crematorium. Family flowers only or donations to the British Heart Foundation. So sorry to hear of you loss, I live in Canada, now but my brother still lives in Hereford and he told me. As a young lad, I worked for Harry Rutherford and Fred and John were part of the business. Harry thought the world of me because I was always reliable and did anything he asked, no matter how awful it was. ( taking out eyes from sheep's heads !) He bought me a brand new delivery bike and so I had to make a delivery from St Martin's St. to Dinedor, all the way uphill there. The boys and Harry had some right royal arguments, but all was soon forgotten.
I used to drop into the shop whenever I visited from Canada, and Fred always said " I've got a nice piece of steak for you here Trevor and it was.
Fond memories of a simpler time and again sorry for your loss.
