JACQUELINE VALERIE MANSELL Dearly beloved mother and grandmother who passed away peacefully of old age at home on Sep 26th 2020 at age 91. Sadly missed by daughter Colette, granddaughter Camilla and son-in-law Andy. Born and raised in Leominster in 1929 where she lived for most of her life at the family home. Jacqueline attended Leominster Grammar School and later trained as a PBX telephone exchange operator. She was subsequently offered a job in a government ministry. There she was introduced to a young man, Walter Davies, on leave from Army Intelligence working with MI8. He was to become County Land Agent for Herefordshire, love of Jacqueline's life and husband of 21 years. They were married at the priory church and had one daughter, Colette. She loved animals and was hardly ever spotted without one of her pets by her side. Jacqueline was a keen member of the British Legion, Civil Defence and the St John Ambulance in the following years. A talented artist, she was still sketching until her final year. She was always keen on family history and discovered recently that she was part Norwegian. She loved the pop group Abba and attending tribute concerts, the last one being with her granddaughter, Camilla, last year. Her funeral will be at Leominster Priory Church on Thursday October 15th at 1:30pm. Floral tributes and donations to the Midlands Air Ambulance and Herefordshire Animal Rescue via R. W. Mann & Son Funeral Directors 2-4 New Street, Leominster HR6 8DP.
