Scotland Rugby News was founded way back in 2008 on Facebook. Back then there wasn’t a Scottish rugby presence on the platform, making it difficult for supporters to stay up to date with the latest news, scores and results.
Founding Editor James Maclean decided this wouldn’t do, so Scotland Rugby was created to help promote the sport in Scotland and galvanise supporters in the dark days of the noughties. It quickly became one of the biggest Scottish sporting pages on Facebook.
Six years later, and with Scottish Rugby finally launching their own page, Scotland Rugby was unburdened and transformed into ‘Scotland Rugby News‘ – complete with a new site and mission to provide independent and unbiased Scottish rugby opinion, news, features and results.
Since then it has gone on to become one of the most popular dedicated Scottish rugby news sites.
